Not Mobile Marketing but a Marketing Mobile

By

Marketing FastWell the video from Saturday came off and I was really surprised that I managed to publish that video whilst travelling in a car through a very rural area of Yorkshire.

Therefore there is no excuse for not doing this if you are attending a seminar in London that has free Wifi for you to speed up the entire process.

The actual process for making the video was fairly simple, although in the video below you may not think so

There are a couple of things I am going to change in my process for creating these videos, the first will be to use a image rather than a video for the intro and exit.

You can still use the same branding that you use on your computer videos, the only difference is that the intro image used should have no title or subtitle text. For the exit image, you will need to change the layout so that intro and video credits are displayed in the image but as with the intro there should be no title.

These titles can be added using picsay which is a free application available from the Android marketplace.

The benefit of this is that it will reduce your files size slightly but more importantly it will mean you do not have 2 audios playing over each other during these sequences.

And if you are curious the entire video above took just over 3 hours to create, I use Time recording Pro on my Samsung to track my daily activity, must get more sleep apparently!

Thanks for the heads up and the great meetup on Saturday. not sure what is going on with the video for you.

I have just tested in again in Chrome, IE 64 and on my mobile, it played fine on Chrome and IE 64 but did struggle on my phone, I don’t use Firefox.

The video is available on my youtube channel, igorgriffiths as an alternative viewing method

Wow, that was brilliant, Igor! I was impressed at how quickly it uploaded, considering it took a fair few miles of travelling for it to do anything in those North Yorkshire hills! I didn’t have the issues with the video that Randy mentions above either.

Great to meet you at the weekend.

    Enjoy the journey.

Mandy great to see that you got your video up pretty sharpish as well.

The joys of technology, no matter what you do if will never be right for everybody, this is not meant as a strike at Randy, with all the differing technologies available, I am surprised this does not happen more often.

This is why I upload my videos to my blog and to youtube, I do not use the youtube version on my blogs as that means I rely upon them for the future of my blog, keep Google on your side but never get into bed with them.

Wow! This is simple and yet effective. I really like the concept of marketing mobile and not mobile marketing. This is a good tutorial for newbies like me to simply create an effective promotional video. I was looking for some easy tutorials for creating videos and I am glad that I found your site. Not only it serves my purpose but also unleashes other horizons. And what is the difference of having the image as the intro instead of a video?

My idea for recommending you change to intro/exit images rather than video is 3 fold,

It removes the accompanying audio, you can only add one audio to the video which will play from start.
The images will be of smaller size than the videos which means the completed video will be marginally quicker for you to upload and stream for the viewer
By using images you can add the titles and credits on the phone using the available software.

The text spinner you recommend is an interesting idea for the German speaker who wishes to serve their own national market.

I like this concept and I think that it will give my marketing great advantage. And it is a lot easier and time saving. Thanks!

  5. Hi Igor,

I really want to watch the video but every time I try it has no response. What should I do? :(

Thank you for your sharing this video. It is amazing. As you said, there is a little difference between intro and exit video. I am s little confused :) . But I could get more info from your video. In view of that, I really need to know more about it.

      Hi Sophia

The key to running an online business is to do it the right way which is of course ethically and legally. You are operating a legal entity and if you are using others content then you must abide by their T&C’s which for me means posting in the exit video credits to my suppliers. This has a double benefit, I remain legal but also I am sharing great resources with the action takers who pay attention to the finer opportunities out there.
