Do not worry about the mirror as it is only a piece of glass and does not mean I will suffer seven years of misfortune however if you get the use of images incorrect online then you may suffer misfortune.
All images have some level of copyright, whether this is using them in anyway other than selling them on right up to having to pay a fee for their use.
If you use images in your productions it is important that you understand the rights of use for each and every image you have obtained and intend to use, this can quickly become very confusing if you do not have a system for this.
In the video I explain and illustrate the methods I use to manage my media collection
Of course you may have your own way of managing your media and it would be great to hear about it, so we can help as many people as possible to enjoy clear conscience image use.

Hi Igor,
Great information and something a lot of people aren’t aware of.
I know when I first got online, I didn’t know about all of this. Then I began to learn about the different free royalty free image sites and then those that are paid. Of course they don’t cost very much and to me it’s better safe then sorry when grabbing images that may be on someone’s site.
Great explanation and thanks for sharing this in your video. You are becoming a pro at these now. I’m so impressed and love the music in the background.
Thanks Igor,
~Adrienne

Thanks Adrienne, too many people try to save money in the wrong places, why steal images when there a plenty of sources available, if you are running a business online then it makes sense to operate professionally.
I am glad you like the music, recently I visited a blog that was discussing the merits of iconic and brand music, this is something I intend to do with my videos. The audio and imagery used are going to remain constant to ensure they become part of my online brand.

Hi Igor,
What I use for images on my blog are either my own pics or royalty free ones that require that I add an image credit after the post.

Hi Justin, thanks for the comment and interesting post about the moon. I had not heard many of those theories.

I always get confused when reading the rights. I hate it when I read things like “can be used for commercial use”. I don’t understand what this means. For example, I have a blog and I use it to market a product I have. If I use the image on that blog, does commercial includes that? I always find that hard to understand.
I download most images from FreeStockPhotos.biz. what I like about this one is that they clearly explain what you’re allowed to do. For example:
Without special written notice from FreeStockPhotos.biz or the owner of the copyright of this image, you may:
1.Use images for general, editorial, product, and promotional uses including but not limited to: products, software…
2.
3.
4.
I find this soooo helpful. That’s why I love using that site.
Thanks for posting this useful video, igor.

I am glad you liked the video and thanks for providing the link to the image site, I have now added this to my list of image providers.
I agree some of the terms on sites are written by attorneys and not by those passionate about images and making the most of them.
