Well okay so now you know what I look like, find out more about igor on

I want to clarify the origins of my name. This is not the name my fine parents gave me, if you want to know that one, I will tell you over a beer when we meet up. I was given the nickname igor, when I started secondary school at the tender age of 12 by the fine members of class 1U.

Fine as we were this class got disbanded after the first year. It was actually a fine collection of local hoodlums and fun loving people, think Muppet Treasure Island and Kermits reaction to seeing the crew! The teachers had the same reaction, they were most definitely not having a 2U!

Now moving on 5 years and at the tender age of 17 I changed my name to igor for a bet, my friends said I would not do it! Everyone knew me as igor so it was not a great revolution for me or my friends, this was not the case for my family however.

So now you know my parents were not Eastern European although my step grandad was and I had an interesting time in the Scottish eduction system.

Now to the present, why would I want to spend time sharing my experiences and lessons?

I love to help and see others grow in confidence.

I spent 12 years in the British Royal Air Force, where I had to promote the benefits of new ideas and systems to fresh recruits and established teams. This was a tough learning curve, getting ideas into peoples heads who do not want to learn is a great challenge to have. I accomplished it though.

The best lesson I could give you today, take time to understand your current situation and limitations then find a mentor to take you where you want to go and either remove your limitations or go around them.

Ultimately if you are consistent in your actions towards your goal then you will reach this first destination. I have learned this the hard way, having suffered from the curse of the shiny object and following far too many people without reason or plan for doing so.

I do not want you to make the same mistakes I have made.
